Gizem Öz is a multifaceted artist based in Amsterdam, working as a composer, sound artist, and contemporary artist. Her artistic path is shaped by a deep curiosity about sound and perception whether she is creating music for deep listening, live performances, installations, or sensory environments. Drawing inspiration from emotions and sensations evoked by our interactions with the universe and our sensory existence, Gizem Öz creates immersive sensory experiences that challenge perception and invite introspection.

Using processed field recordings, electroacoustic instruments, and textural layering, she builds intricate auditory landscapes that serve as pathways for exploration. Her installations and live performances expand listening into a multisensory dimension, often integrating light, space, movement and smell. She has presented her work at festivals and international venues including Waking Life (PT), Amsterdam Dance Event (NL), DGTL (NL), Zenner (DE), and Art Biesenthal Berlin (DE). She is also the founder of Mārga, a platform dedicated to audiovisual experiences, experimental music, and art performances.

Under the alias Gizem, she moves fluidly within the club and dance music sphere as a DJ and producer. Her sets and productions explore from calming and meditative soundscapes to deep hypnotic rhythms. Her sets are full of emotional shifts and sonic storytelling. She has performed at Wildeburg Festival (NL), Lago Lago Festival (NL), Waha Festival (RO), Garage Noord (NL), Radio Radio (NL), Amsterdam Dance Event (NL), A’DAM The Loft (NL), Club der Visionäre (DE).
